November 9, 2008 - 291 @ Morton Avenue - MVA

Around 15:00 hrs Company 82, Chester-11, and the Medics were dispatched to 291 and Morton Avenue for an accident with entrapment. The Company arrived on location to find a two vehicle accident with one trapped.  Tower 82 went in-service to remove a door while the engine assisted.  Two were transported to CCMC.

November 7, 2008 - 306 Thurlow Street - Building

At 19:36 hrs the companies were dispatched to 306 Thurlow Street for a building fire.  Chester-11 arrived and reported smoke in the area then updated his report to say he had smoke showing from the reported address.  Squrt 81 forced entry and went in service with an 1 3/4 hand-line to the second floor. Engine 82 stood by at the hydrant while Tower 82 checked for extension.  The fire was quickly extinguished with tank water and the fire was determined to have been started by a plumber soldering pipes. 

 

                                 - 2714 Nolan Street - Dwelling

At 10:25 hrs the companies were dispatched to 2714 Nolan Street for a building fire. Chester-11 arrived first to find a 2 story twin with smoke showing from the 2nd floor side A. Squrt 81 went in-service with a 1 3/4 hand-line and reported a bedroom fire second floor front. Engine 83 in place of Tower 82 (O.O.S.) ventilated and performed primary and secondary searches. Engine 82 stood by as the RIT Team.  The fire was placed under control in approximately 30 minutes.

November 3rd, 2008 - 1113 Madison St - 2 Alarms

At 12:22 hrs the companies were dispatched to 1113 Madison Street for the building fire. Chester-11 arrived and reported a 2 Story MOD with fire showing from the rear. Engine 82 established a water supply and went in-service with an 1 3/4 hand-lineTower 82 opened up and performed searches on the 1st and 2nd floor. Chester-11 then struck the 2nd alarm when he had Squrt 81 place another line in service as a back up. The fire was placed under control at 13:00 hrs.
