February 4, 2009 - 2710 North Forward Street - Building Fire - 2 Alarms

At approximately 07:20 hrs the companies were dispatched to 2710 North Forward Street for a working building fire.  Chester-11 arrived on location and reported heavy fire showing side 1 of the structure.  Squrt 81 arrived on location and went in service with an 1 3/4 attack line.  Engine 82 arrived and pulled a second 1 3/4 and advanced it to the second floor.  Tower 82 ventilated and performed primary and secondary searches and rescued a dog from the first floor. The occupant and two firefighters were transported to CCMC for minor injuries.  The companies went available at approximately 11:00 hrs.

 January 25, 2009 - 625 East 20th Street - Building Fire - 2 Alarms

At 11:20 hrs the companies were dispatched to 625 East 20th Street for a building fire with entrapment.  Chester-11 arrived on scene and reported heavy smoke showing from the 3rd floor and roof side 3 of the structure.  Company 82 was next on location and the engine established a water supply and led off with an   1 3/4 attack line to the 3rd floor while the tower laddered the roof and conducted a primary and secondary search. Squrt 81 pulled the walls on the 2nd and 3rd floors checking for extension and assisted Engine 82.  Companies were made available at 12:52 hrs.  Fire is under investigation by Chester-17

 

January 20, 2009 - 1003 Remington Street - Building Fire - 2 Alarms

At 11:26 hrs the Companies were dispatched to 1003 Remington Street for a building fire.  Chester-17 arrived on location and reported heavy fire showing first and second floor. Engine 82 arrived and went in-service with an two 1 3/4 attack lines backed up by Tower 82.  Squrt 81 arrived and threw up ground ladders, checked the exposure, and went to the roof to open up.  Companies remained on location until 14:00 hrs.

January 18, 2009 - 1300 West 9th Street - Accident w/ Entrapment

At 20:29 hrs while en-route to an east side fire alarm Company 81, Tower 82, and Chester-11 were diverted to 1300 West 9th Street for an accident with entrapment, vehicle on fire.  Chester-11 arrived on location and reported a one vehicle accident into a pole with one subject trapped and the vehicle on fire.  Squirt 81 arrived and went in service with a 1 3/4 attack line.  Tower 82 then arrived and went in service with the tools to free the occupant. Companies went available at approximately 21:00 hrs and one occupant was transported to CCMC.

 

January 16, 2009 - 2323 West 4th Street - Building Fire - 2 Alarms

At 23:49 hrs the companies were dispatched to 2323 West Fourth Street for a building fire.  Tower 82 was first on location and reported heavy fire showing from the first floor and heavy smoke on the 2nd.  Chester-11 was next on scene and reported one female occupant tapped on the second floor roof.  Squrt 81 arrived on location and established a water supply and led off with an 1 3/4 attack line while the Tower pulled a backup line and conducted a primary and secondary searches.  Engine 82 performed a search of the exposure while checking for extension.  Companies were available at 01:46 hrs.

 

January 14, 2009 - 319 Highland Avenue - Building Fire - 2 Alarms

At 12:17 hrs the companies were dispatched to 319 Highland Avenue for a building fire with entrapment.  Company 81 arrived on location to find the second floor rear bedroom involved.  Tower 82 performed a primary and secondary search with negative results while Engine 82 opened the exposure and checked for extension.  The companies cleared at 13:45 hrs.
