June 11, 2009 - 312 Reaney Street - Building Fire - 2 Alarms

At 08:06 hrs the Companies were dispatched to 312 Reaney Street for a building fire with entrapment and numerous calls.  Engine 83 arrived on location and reported heavy smoke showing from the 2nd floor rear of the structure and went in service with an 1 3/4 attack line to the second floor.  Tower 82 arrived and conducted primary and secondary searches as well as ventilated.  Engine 82 secured a water supply  for Engine 83 and then went in service with a second 1 3/4 attack line to the exposure.  Crews remained on location until 10:55 hrs.

May 22, 2009 - 1300 Crosby Street - Building Fire - 3 Alarms

At 10:35 hrs Company 82 was dispatched to 1300 Crosby Street for a fire alarm in B building.  Within minutes Fire-board upgraded the assignment to a box alarm with numerous calls and entrapment.  Chester-11 arrived and reported heavy fire showing from the 2nd floor rear extending to the 3rd with a female occupant trapped on the 1st floor.  Engine 82 arrived and went in service with multiply hand-lines and Engine 83 threw ground ladders.  Tower 82's exterior crew assisted removing the trapped occupant while the remaining members assisted Engine 83 conducting searches.  A total of 8 units suffered fire, heat, and water damage.  Crews remained on scene until 15:00 hrs and the cause of the fire is under investigation.

 

 

May 21, 2009 - 2706 Nolan Street - Building Fire

At 10:35 hrs the companies were dispatched to 2706 Nolan Street for a building fire.  Chester-11 arrived on location and reported a 2 story middle of the row with medium smoke showing from the rear.  Engine 82 then arrived and went in-service with an 1 3/4 attack-line and extinguished a mattress fire in the rear bedroom .  The crew from Engine 83 checked the exposure and the Tower crew conducted a search and vented the structure.  Companies went available at 11:36 hrs.
