IAFF Local 1400

At approximately 1130 hrs the companies were dispatched to 227 Kerlin Street for a building fire with entrapment. Chester-11 arrived on location followed by Squrt 81 and reported a two story building with heavy smoke showing from the second floor. Squrt 81 lead off with an 1 3/4 hand line to the second floor where they encountered high heat with heavy smoke and fire conditions. Conditions deteriorated quickly and the crews were pulled from the building. The second alarm was struck and the job went into master steam operations. One firefighter suffered minor burns and was treated and released. Crews remained on location for approximately 5 hours.

December 28, 2007 - 1404 Locke Terrace

At approximately 1200 hrs Company 82 was investigating an oder in a building when Fire-board notified Chester-11 of a report of a building fire at 1404 Locke Terrace. Squrt 81 responded as Company 82 cleared up from their call. Chester 11-E was first on scene to find a 2 story middle of the row with heavy fire showing 2nd floor. Squrt 81 went in service with 1 3/4 hand line and Ladder 82 went to the roof to open up and found they had extension. Crews remained on the scene for approximately 2 hours and one firefighter was transported to CCMC for minor burns.

December 27, 2007 - I-95 North @ Kerlin Street

At 1305 hrs Company 81, Tower 82, Chester-11, and CCMC Medics were dispatched to I-95 North at Kerlin Street for an MVA with injuries. On arrival it was reported that there was a three vehicle accident. Crews secured the vehicles and all occupants were transported to CCMC for observation and companies were available at 1326 hrs.

December 26, 2007 - 2101 West 9th Street

At 1958 hrs the companies were dispatched to 2101 West Ninth Street for a building fire. Squrt 81 went on location with fire showing from the rear. The crew went in service with an 1³/₄ hand line. Fire was contained to the kitchen area and CID was called because of the previous fire earlier in the day. Companies went available at 2237 hrs.

- 2101 West 9th Street

At 1702 hrs the companies were dispatched to 2101 West Ninth Street for a building fire. On location it was reported that they had an end of the row with heavy smoke showing from the rear. Upon further investigation the crews found a pot on the stove with extension to the cabinets. The fire was handled be Squrt 81 and the companies went available at 1746 hrs.

- 21st & Chestnut Streets

At 1151 hrs Company 82, Chester-11, and the Medics were dispatched to 21st and Chestnut Streets for an MVA. On arrival it was reported that it was a two vehicle accident with one vehicle into a PECO pole with a small engine compartment fire. Engine 82 handled the fire and the Medics transported the occupants of both vehicles to CCMC.

December 23, 2007 - 233 West 4th Street

At 1250 hrs the companies were dispatched to 233 West 4th Street for a building fire with possible entrapment. On arrival it was reported that there was medium smoke showing from the second floor rear and negative entrapment. Squrt 81 lead off with an 1³/₄ hand-line and found a fire on the stove top with extension to the cabinets and wall. One firefighter sustained a knee injury and was transported to CCMC for treatment. Companies went available at 1345 hrs.

December 19, 2007 - 2715 Curran Street - 2 Alarms

At 1636 hrs the companies were dispatched to the 2700 block of Curran Street for a building. Squrt 81 went on location with a vacant fully involved with possible extension into an occupied. Squrt 81 went into service with master streams and companies went available at 1915 hrs.

December 17, 2007 - 6 West Seventh Street - 2 Alarms

At 2002 hrs the companies were dispatched to the area of 7^th and Sproul Streets for a building fire. Upon arrival it was reported that they had a three story vacant with heavy smoke showing from all floors and heavy fire showing from side 3 first floor. Companies went in service with master streams and had heavy fire throughout within a few minutes. Fire was held to the original building with smoke damage to the attached church. Companies went available at 2352 hrs.

December 05, 2007 - 1107 Baldwin Street

At 00:30 hrs the companies were dispatched for a dwelling fire. Police were on scene reporting a working fire. Chester 11 arrived on scene with a two story, middle of the row, vacant dwelling with fire showing from the first floor rear. 82-1 dropped a 5" supply line and led off with one attack line. Fire was quickly knocked down and there was no extension. Fire was investigated by the fire marshall. Crews remained on scene until approximately 02:00 hrs.
