April 8, 2008 - 1001 Potter Street

At 23:40 hrs Company 82, 83, Chester-11, and CCMC EMS were dispatched to the 1000 block of Potter Street for a building fire.  Engine 82 went on location with smoke showing and went in service with an 1 3/4 hand line.  The fire was located in the front bedroom of the second floor apartment and was placed under control in about 10 minutes.

April 4, 2008 - 3025 West 9th Street

At approximately 11:30 hrs the companies were dispatched to 3025 West 9th Street for a building fire with entrapment.  While en route fire board advised the subjects were trapped on the roof.  Chester-11 arrived on location and reported a two story middle of the row with a female on the porch roof and heavy fire showing first floor. The subject was helped down by CPD and Engine 83 arrived on location and went in service with an 1 3/4 hand-line. Tower 82 conducted a primary and secondary search and Engine 82 checked the exposure for extension.  Crews remained on location for approximately 1 hour.

March 28, 2008 - 2516 West Third Street

Engine 83, Company 82, Medic 81-7, and Chester-11 were dispatched to the area of 3rd and Ward Street for a garage fire. 83-1 arrived on location and found a garage fully involved. 83-1 led off with an 1 3/4 attack line and Tower 82's crew opened up. The fire was knocked down in approximately 10 minutes.  Crews remained in service for an hour.

March 21, 2008 - 221 West 24th Street

At 02:37 hrs the Companies were dispatched to 221 West 24th Street for a building fire with entrapment.  Company 82 arrived on location and reported fire showing from the first floor rear kitchen area.  Occupants outside the residence advised that one subject was still inside the apartment that was involved.  A 1 3/4 was placed in service and advanced into the building and the occupant was found on the living room floor.  Engine 83 performed primary and secondary searches of the rest of the building and the trapped occupant was transported to CCMC were he was unconscious but alive.  Companies went available at 04:30 hrs. 

 

March 20, 2008 - 2100 West Seventh Street

At 22:40 hrs the Companies were dispatched to the area of 9th and Booth Streets for a building fire. Chester-11 arrived on location to find a storage room in the rear of Rent A Center fully involved.  Two 1 3/4 hand-lines were placed in service to control the fire and the building was cleared of smoke.  Companies went available at 00:20 hrs.

March 14, 2008 - 1228 Curran Street

At approximately 02:00 hrs Engine 83 was dispatched to 1228 Curran Street for a vehicle fire.  Engine 83 arrived on location and reported a vehicle on fire with the trunk area ablaze.  Fire was quickly extinguished and company went available at 02:35 hrs.

March 3, 2008 - 291 & Central Avenue

At 21:30 hrs Engine 83, Tower 82, Chester-11, and CCMC EMS were dispatched to 291 and Central Avenue for an MVA.  Chester-11 arrived on location and reported a three vehicle MVA with one minor injury.  Tower 82 was recalled and Engine 83 stood by until two of the three vehicles were towed.  One transported to CCMC.

                         

                                   - 291 & Norris Street

At 20:20 hrs Engine 83, Tower 82, Chester-11, and CCMC EMS were dispatched to 291 and Norris Street for a MVA.  Chester-11 arrived on location and reported a two vehicle accident with one minor injury, no entrapment.  Tower 82 was recalled and Engine 83 stood by until the cars were towed.  One transported to CCMC the other fled on foot before units arrived.

 

March 2, 2008 - 777 Harrah's Boulevard

At approximately 11:30 hrs the companies were dispatched to 777 Harrah's Boulevard for a vehicle fire on the third floor of the parking garage.  82 command reported he had a heavy smoke condition on the floor and had a disoriented civilian who was led down by firefighters.  Company 82 went in service with an 1 3/4 hand-line bringing the fire under control in minutes.  Crews remained on scene for approximately 45 minutes and were assisted by Company 57.
